The Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) is thrilled to invite you to the upcoming conference:

"Making social investment work: Exploring the expected outcomes of educational attainments", with Costanzo Ranci, professor of Economic Sociology at the Polytechnic of Milan and LIVES Visiting fellow

This talk adress the importance of the socio-economic context for the effectiveness of social investment policies. Based on joint work with Yuri Kazepov, our guest speaker Prof. Ranci will adress the importance of the socio-economic context for the effectiveness of social investment policies. The assumption is that social investment policies interact with embedded socio-economic structures, welfare arrangements, and production regimes, yielding context-specific results. The talk will focus on  the labour market-education nexus to identify key contextual conditions for social investment's positive impact on social outcomes.

The talk will be introduced by ProfGiuliano Bonoli (IDHEAP-LIVES) and Prof. Leen Vandecasteele (ISS-LIVES) will kick-off the discussion
